Job Description

Candidates for this position must be experts in Music Teacher Education who would be able to offer courses at the undergraduate level for Individual Instrument, Piano and Accompaniment, Voice Study, Chorus, Solfeggio and Harmony, Turkish Folk Music and Traditional Turkish Music and also supervise students in their studies for doing research and writing their theses in Music Education area. Furthermore, they must have a good command of the Turkish Language for lecturing undergraduate courses and wide experience in instrumental, voice and/or conducting field. 

Qualifications

Candidates must have a doctoral degree from a prominent university and fulfill the requirements of Academic Evaluation Criteria of EMU for receiving the academic title of ‘Assistant Professor’.

Term of Employment

EMU offers a competitive salary. The initial appointment is for eleven months starting September 15, 2008, renewable for two years, contingent upon successful performance.
