Please be informed that in accordance with Article 6b of the By-law for the Operation and Decision-making Principles of the Eastern Mediterranean University Senate, elections will be held for the places of elected members who have left their position without reaching the end of the membership period, namely 1 Associate Professor and 1 Research Assistant. Elections will also be held for 1 vacant Instructor member position in the Senate. In accordance with Article 5 of the same by-law, candidate applications will be invited for the aforesaid positions and representatives will be determined upon the election procedure.
The election procedure is as follows:
- Application for Candidacy: Interested staff members wishing to become candidates are expected to submit their petition and an attached file containing an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae and a document stating their academic publications (if any) to EMU Documentation Unit latest by 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 21 November 2018.
- Announcement of Candidates’ Names: Names of the candidates will be announced by EMU Rector’s Office on Friday, 23 November 2018.
- Elections: Elections are to be held by secret ballot and public counting at EMU Senate Meeting Hall Entrance between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Monday, 26 November 2018. Academic Staff are expected to present identification cards in the course of voting.
Announcement of the Election Results: Names of the elected candidates are to be announced on 26 November 2018.
