Biological Bases of Behavior (BIOL105)
The aim of the course is to provide detailed information about relationship between biology and psychology; structure of animal cells; structure and functions of the cells of the nervous system; communication within a neuron and communication between neurons; how neurotransmitters work; basic features of the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system; principles of Psychopharmacology; biological causes, symptoms and treatment of neurological disorders; basic forms of learning and role of hippocampus in learning process.
