About Faculty
Faculty of Education has been educating teachers of various subjects since 1999.
Mission and Vision:
The fundamental mission of the Faculty is:
- to adopt and administer a functional view of education reconciling society’s educational expectations with the requirements of contemporary education,
- to develop, apply and improve the principles and processes of learning and teaching in line with the educational philosophy of teaching,
- to conduct original high quality research in education, and to present the results at respective national and international institutions,
- to contribute to the policy and future decisions in education through research projects.
In line with this mission, our vision is
- to become an institution preferred foremost by the most successful and promising teacher candidates in the country and region,
- to become an institution of education and research engaged in research and practice in line with innovations and changes both in the region and the world,
- to become a leading institution of education providing counseling and educational services to families, teachers and administrators.
The educational policy of the Faculty is built on academic distinction, intellectual freedom, selfless service, trust and equality. Based on these policies, our major goals are:
- to administer quality teacher education programs with a humanistic approach,
- to adopt and administer a functional view of education reconciling society’s educational expectations with the requirements of contemporary education,
- to develop new models of teacher education responsive to the needs of society;
- to develop, apply and improve the principles and processes of learning and teaching in line with the educational philosophy of teaching how to learn,
- to conduct original high quality research in education, and present the results at respective national and international institutions,
- to evaluate and improve the educational programs according to internationally recognized standards,
- to create and raise public awareness with respect to education,
- to generate and sustain respect for education in society by training successful professional individuals and researchers in particular, and good citizens in general.

Faculty of Education is one of the best places for students who choose teaching profession, as they will find ideal student-lecturer ratio and warm lecturer-student relationship in all departments of the Education Faculty. The students are provided with many services including a library with a rich data base and thousands of printed documents, unlimited Internet use, extensive sports and cultural activity facilities, opportunities to meet students from many different countries, a wide range of scholarship opportunities and dormitories with home comfort. Education Faculty is also distinguished with its experienced academic staff with high quality scientific publications.
