Academic Evaluation Committee
Academic Evaluation Committee (ADEK) is formed to present views to the Rector’s Office on a candidate’s sufficiency regarding the academic appointments and promotions.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs who will also chair the committee and 4 professors from the University form the Academic Evaluation Committee. Academic Evaluation Committee members are appointed for three years upon the recommendation of the University Executive Board and the approval of the Senate. If a member leaves the committee, another member who will serve until the end of the appointment period of the previous member is appointed based on the same method.
Decisions are taken by simple majority.
“Academic Evaluation Criteria” for the appointment and promotion of the Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors is determined by the University Executive Board who will take the views of the Faculty Boards.
