Introduction to Clinical Pharmacy, activities and responsibilities of a Clinical Pharmacist, Clinical Pharmacist practice areas, Patient care processes, Systematic approach to patient care and principles of Pharmaceutical Care, Patient Counselling and the importance of Patient Education in clinical pharmacy practices, Enhancing the communication skills of pharmacists necessary to effectively interact with patients and other healthcare professionals, Patient Adherence and Compliance, Interpretation of common laboratory test results. The diagnosis, pathophysiology, treatment, and prognosis of the chronic diseases such as Asthma, Diabetes, Hypertension and Coronary Artery Disease, with emphasis on drug treatment and the role of the Clinical Pharmacist in these chronic conditions.
