Algebras, algebra and factorization of polynomials. Commutative rings, determinant function, permutations and properties of determinants. Characteristic values, the Cayley-Hamilton theorem, invariant subspaces, direct-sum decompositions, the primary decomposition theorem, cyclic decompositions and rational form, the jordan form, inner product spaces.
