Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Social and Cultural Activities Directorate organized a “New Year’s Festival” on Friday, 27 December 2024 between 04:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The event that took place in front of the Social and Cultural Activities Directorate building, received great interest. Participants had joyful moments with various activities available at the festival.
Various Activities Held
Along with a photobooth, dance performances, sales and donation stands, the festival also featured a Christmas Choir and an uplifting performance by DJ Savage. Moreover, the New Year’s Market set at the festival area offered the participants an array of different products to enjoy. At the said event, EMU Animal Rescue Club carried out an animal food donation, on the other hand, Community Involvement Center (CIC) and Famagusta Kale Lions Club students handed out clothes. EMU Center for Cyprus Studies (EMU-KAM) Art Coordinator Zehra Şonya led a workshop where students designed new year themed keychains.
Received Great Interest
The event received great interest from both EMU students and members of Famagusta. Participants of the event had the opportunity to experience the sense of solidarity and sharing while joyfully celebrating the new year with a program full of music and entertainment.
Thanking everyone who participated in the New Year’s Festival, EMU Social and Cultural Activities Directorate stated that they will continue organizing this kind of event during the new year.
