Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Architecture, Architecture Department’s Chair Prof. Dr. Rafooneh Mokhtarshahi Sani represented EMU in the “NAAB International Certification: A U.S. Quality Assurance Credential for International Architectural Degree Programs” panel organized online by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
Focusing on “Benefits of International Certification for Programs and Students” topic, the panel was held for the institutions offering architectural training in Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Middle East.
Prof. Dr. Sani was invited to the said panel as a NAAB 2024 International Committee Member and as a representative for the NAAB International Certification Program. Presenting valuable insight highlighting the importance of international accreditation for academic institutions and students, Prof. Dr. Sani once again emphasized the global excellence perception of EMU in architectural education. Moreover, noting that EMU Department of Architecture has been a NAAB accreditation holder since 2016, Prof. Dr. Sani expressed both her and university’s pride to be invited to the said panel. The attendance of Prof. Dr. Sani at the event reinforced EMU’s leadership status in shaping the future of architectural education.
