Eastern Mediterranean University’s Entrance and Scholarship Exam for the high school graduates who are nationals of the TRNC and the Republic of Turkey (those who have graduated high school upon the completion of their education in an educational institution in TRNC after a period of 4 uninterrupted years of study) will be held in Famagusta and Nicosia between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Monday, the 5th of June 2017. According to information from the EMU Rector’s Office, the exam will be taking place on the EMU Campus in Famagusta and the Turkish Maarif College in Nicosia. Applications for the exam will be ending on the 2nd of June 2017. Applications for the exam may be submitted to EMU Registrar’s Office and EMU’s Exam Application Center at the Atatürk Teacher’s Academy in Nicosia.
The exam admission fee is 50 TL and can be deposited to EMU’s bank account (100640) at any branch of the Cooperative Central Bank or may be paid during application at the EMU Exam Application Center in Nicosia.
During the exam application, students need to submit a photocopy of their ID card, a bank statement, and 2 passport sized photos. On the day of the exam, students are advised to be present at the exam venue with their ID cards and exam entrance document by 9:30 a.m. the latest.
Exam Sections and Score Types
According to the Rector’s Office statement, the exam will contain Mathematics, Science, Turkish, and Social Sciences sections as well as the English Language Test for language departments and the Visual Skills Test for departments that require visual skill.
Candidates are reminded that they should answer all four main sections of the exam and their scores for the Mathematics – Science (MS), Turkish – Mathematics (TM) and Turkish – Social Sciences (TS) sections will be calculated, accordingly. Additionally, if the candidates choose to do so, their scores for the English Language (EL), Visual Skills (VS), Music (M) and Sports (SP) sections will be calculated separately.
Special Skills Tests to be Held between 29th of May and 2nd of June 2017
Prior to the entrance exam which will be held on the 5th of June 2017, candidates who wish to study at programs with special skills test requirements are expected to take the said tests between the 29th of May and the 2nd of June 2017. To schedule a special skills exam, candidates are advised to contact the relevant department and get an appointment, accordingly.
