Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Business and Economics, Business Administration Department, Business Administration Undergraduate Program graduate and Dağlı Insurance Executive Board President Ersan Dağlı recently paid a visit to EMU Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu. EMU Computer and Technology School Director Assoc. Dr. Nazife Dimililer and EMU Business and Economics Faculty, Banking and Finance Department Chair Prof. Dr. Nesrin Özataç were also present at the visit.
During the visit, EMU graduate Ersan Dağlı explained the online policy system they have introduced as Dağlı Sigorta. Stating that the compulsory traffic policy of the vehicle can be made online from Dağlı Sigorta, thanks to the new application they developed, Dağlı also added that the system can be accessed from any location 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Dağlı said “Our solution has been immediately put into the use of our customers, taking into account the requirements brought by the pandemic period. With this system, the maturity date of policies can be checked, premiums can be tracked, and also the coverage of policies can be viewed. With the online policy, our customers can instantly review their payment processes, make payments, view their claim files and get information about their status. "
EMU Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu stated that they are proud of the success of Ersan Dağlı as an EMU graduate, and emphasized that the cooperation between Dağlı Insurance and EMU is important in terms of improving communication between business people and the university. During the visit, Ersan Dağlı agreed to offer online seminars (webinars) especially for the students of the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Regarding the content of the meeting, EMU SCT Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazife Dimililer said, “Considering that the digital transformation process is being completed all over the world, the information technologies which are in every moment of our lives are also effectively used in the insurance sector and all existing systems are digitally and easily accessible to everyone according to new norms. The step taken by Dağlı Sigorta in online insurance is a very important example of leadership that should be adopted by the insurance industry ”. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimililer also stated that in line with this cooperation, they will work together to create opportunities for the training and employment of informatics professionals needed by the sector.
