Eastern Mediterranean University Cyprus Policy Center (EMU CPC) Research Specialist Assist. Prof. Dr. Devrim Şahin delivered a presentation at the Pan-European Conference which was held at the University of Potsdam, Germany with the theme of “Designing a New Normal”.
Delivering a presentation of the article titled “Adapting the International Law to the New Normal” during the “International Community” panel, Assist. Prof. Dr. Şahin indicated that the most important issue of today is the urgent need for constitutionalization of the global legal system, despite all its difficulties. Asst. Prof. Dr. Şahin emphasized that “increased” cooperation based on a legal framework with democratic legitimacy is needed to overcome the challenges of the transition to transnational democracy.
