Within the framework of EMU Architecture Faculty, Interior Architecture Department’s Graduation Project, a “Design Workshop” was carried out under the coordinatorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kağan Günçe, Assist. Prof. Dr. Kamil Güley and Assist. Prof. Dr. Afet Çeliker.
In this respect, the current concept of design workshops provides a more attractive work environment. Design workshops should be spaces allowing the users to work at night as well as during the day. Therefore, they should possess the spatial and functional qualities for 24-hour use.
In order for the productive and rich completion of the design process, a technical trip to Istanbul was organised for graduating students. Within the framework of this trip, design students explored different venues contributing to their projects.
The evaluation of the said graduation projects which took place under the chairpersonship of EMU Interior Architecture Department Chair Prof. Dr. Uğur Ulaş Dağlı were planned as a private organisation which took place at workshops designed. One of the leading designers of Turkey Kenan Pençe also participated in the evaluation process. Kenan Pençe also took part in a talk entitled “Last Lesson”.
Completed graduation projects which employed new technologies, animation-video and 3D designs have been exhibited at EMU Architecture Faculty, Interior Architecture Department.
