The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has added another social responsibility project to those organized under the umbrella of the Community Involvement Centre. As part of the course delivered by EMU Communication Faculty, Public Relations and Advertising Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Kemal Kaya, students Ahmet İyici, Tolani Quam Aregbe, Princess Agubisi, Adeyemi Adedoyin Abigeal and Arebate Tuohedi carried out a social responsibility project for 3 December International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Entertainment was provided for Famagusta İrfan Nadir Under-18s Rehabilitation Center children and youth at Coffeemania located in Famagusta on Friday the 1st of December 2017. At the Coffeemania sponsored event, EMU students talked and ate breakfast with the İrfan Nadir Under-18s Rehabilitation Center students.
The communication students gave an important message emphasizing that disabilities are not obstacles for having fun and underlining that sensitivity is required in order to prevent the disintegration of the disabled individuals.
