Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) will be accepting student applications to a total of 80 Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK) accredited graduate programs, 19 of which are doctoral degrees, 35 of which are master’s programs with thesis and 26 of which are master’s programs without thesis requirements. According to a statement by the Institute for Graduate Studies and Research, applications for the said programs can be submitted via the website http://www.emu.edu.tr/applyonline until the 12th of February 2017.
It was emphasized that candidates applying for a master’s degree should have an undergraduate degree and those applying for PhD programs should have a master’s degree. Those applying for English-medium programs may obtain detailed information about English Proficiency requirements at http://grad.emu.edu.tr. Candidates who do not possess a document certifying their English level are expected to take the English Proficiency Test administered by EMU. Depending on their exam results, students may attend an intensive English program or may take extra English courses alongside their postgraduate courses. Programs Delivered in Nicosia
Some of the postgraduate programs offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics will be offered in Nicosia to provide an alternative for nationals of the TRNC who wish to pursue their postgraduate studies alongside their careers. In this respect, the Turkish language graduate courses in Business, Economics, Banking and Finance will take place in Nicosia after working hours. Upon demand Faculty of Tourism postgraduate programs will also be available in Nicosia.
20% Discount in tuition fees of TRNC nationals working in state departments and certain institutions
TRNC nationals working in state departments and certain institutions will also be offered a 20% discount in their tuition fees. A certificate of employment must be exhibited during registration.
EMU-WARWICK University Collaboration
In line with the collaboration between EMU and the University of Warwick, EMU offers MSc programs in Engineering Business Management and Supply Chain and Logistics Management (with thesis requirements). According to the 2016 university rankings by the Guardian, the University of Warwick was ranked 9th in England and 51st in the world. These highly prestigious MSc degrees can be completed in just one full year of academic study on the EMU campus and include an option for taking two modules in the UK. The degrees offered are full University of Warwick degrees, and the diplomas awarded are exactly the same as those awarded to University of Warwick students in the UK.
