Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Community Involvement Center has completed another social responsibility project. Students part of the Genesis IMC Agency within the scope of EMU Communication and Media Studies Faculty have completed another meaningful project under the coordination of EMU Public Relations and Advertising Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Kemal Kaya.
The event organized by Genesis IMC Agency students at which handcraft made by İrfan Nadir Rehabilitation Center students were exhibited and put up for sale took place at the Famagusta Buğday Mosque.
The opening of the exhibition with the slogan “We made it with love and mixed it with art” was carried out by Prime Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün and Minister of Labour and Social Security Ersan Saner. It was revealed that the exhibition also attended by Minister of Economy and Energy Sunat Atun and Famagusta Mayor İsmail Arter came to par after a two year preparation period by center students and teachers. The preparation of the artwork that attracted great interest from those attending the event was recorded by Genesis IMC Agency students, who prepared a video which they screened during the opening.
İrfan Nadir Rehabilitation Center Director Havva Öztenay stated that all of the event proceedings will be going to the planned opening of a studio, thanking everyone who participated in the event.
At the end of the event, rehabilitation centre officals expressed their gratitude to the EMU Communication and Media Studies Faculty as well as the students of the Genesis IMC Agency.
