Research Center for Archeological and Cultural Heritage (AKVAM)
EMU-Research Center for Archeological and Cultural Heritage is supporting educational, research, and project activities on heritage studies such as investigating cultural heritage through scientific projects and research in order to protect and achieve sustainability of cultural heritage for future generations. Since its establishment, the center has had a pioneering role in achieving several projects with various collaborators.
The center conducted several projects such as a survey study on Salamis Archeological Site including geophysical survey, lidar, and paleogeographic works. The expected further projects of the center are mainly about promoting and sustaining cultural heritage through local and international efforts. Amongst these joint projects were museology works, restoration, and conservation of cultural landscape. A cultural heritage management plan of Salamis can be named along with exhibitions, conferences, and workshops to be conducted on heritage issues in the future.
