With the contributions of Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Rector’s Office and EMU Urban Research and Development Center (URDC), “Art and Culture Tour” towards youngsters who live in countryside was organized within the scope of Famagusta Ravelin Lions Club’s 1st Ravelin Youth Event.
30 students between the ages of 12 and 14 from Erenköy High School participated in the Art Workshop and Culture Tour event. Within the scope of the event, the students were divided into two groups and attended the “Collage Workshop” carried out by EMU Art Coordinator Zehra Şonya and the project team within the scope of the “Portraits, Styles and Stories” project developed by the EMU Rector’s Office.
On the other hand, during the Famagusta Culture Tour guided by the EMU URDC academic staff members, students got the chance to get to know the city and the importance of cultural heritage. Following the Art and Culture Tour program, Erenköy High School teacher and students were presented certificates of appreciation and participation during a ceremony which took place at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center.
