Trainees completing the General Occupational Health and Safety training organized by the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Continuous Education Center (CEC), participated in the General Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Certificate Examination held by the TRNC Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Participants obtaining successful results from the said exam gained the right to apply for the Construction Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Exam to be held in April 2025.
Participated for the First Time
EMU-CEC held its first training course for external participants between July and November 2024 and took part in the exam. The course, which included 24 hours of theoretical instruction and 12 hours of practical training, was designed for individuals with a valid General Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Certificate, or graduates in fields such as architecture, construction, electrical, electronics, mechanical, or environmental engineering, as well as those holding a degree in occupational health and safety.
New Education Programs Being Designed
An OHS training body certified by the TRNC Ministry of Labor and Social Security, EMU will organize the Compulsory Workplace OHS Training, Basic OHS Training 2025 and General OHS Training Education Programs (June 2025) within the framework of the regulations. These trainings can be held either publicly or privately (for special groups) based on demand.
