A competition with the aim of creating a unique, remindful and functional logo which is to reflect the vision and mission of the Intellectual Property Rights Research and Application Center (FIMAUM) operating under the EMU Law Faculty will be held upon the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Executive Board decision dated 17.11.2021.
FIMAUM aims to implement, generalize and develop the industrial property rights of literary and artistic works, patent and brands as well as to raise awareness in a relevant part of the society on what these rights are, their importance and protection. Therefore, it aims to contribute to the creation and development of a culture of intellectual and industrial property rights and the preparation of a legal infrastructure for the industry by keeping an eye on the European Union (EU) legislation. All EMU students can apply to the competition.
Applications must be made until Thursday, 31 March 2022. Competition specifications can be obtained from FIMAUM web page or Faculty of Law Dean’s Office. Following the evaluations, the winner of the competition will be given a monetary award of 1.000,00 Turkish liras (TL).
The jury consisting of EMU Architecture Department academic staff member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halil Zafer Alibaba, Faculty of Law vice Dean Assist. Prof. Dr. Hakan Bilgeç, Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department Head Assist. Prof. Dr. Fırat Tüzünkan and Deputy Chair Specialist Shayryar Alikhani will evaluate the applications. The result of the evaluations will be announced on Friday, 8 April 2022 at “Intellectual Property Rights” panel.
