Nursing Sciences Doctoral Program is designed to train highly skilled nurses who can perform independent and original scientific research in fundamental areas of nursing. It focuses on equipping nurses with scientific, critical, and analytical thinking abilities, along with an innovative approach to education, research, practice, and management. The program stresses the importance of questioning established knowledge, achieving new insights, embracing the core philosophy and values of nursing, and offering thoughtful and ethical solutions to complex issues based on universal principles. Moreover, it aims to prepare nurses to assume prominent roles and responsibilities in academic and research environments. Nursing Sciences Doctoral Program provides education by integrating training activities from different subfields of nursing into a unified program structure.
Admission Requirements
The admission requirements for the EMU Nursing Sciences Doctoral Program are as specified below:
- to hold an Undergraduate degree in Nursing,
- to hold a Master’s degree (with thesis) in Nursing or in Nursing Majors,
- to be a citizen of TRNC or a foreign country (excluding TR citizen students),
- to hold an English Proficiency Certificate;
TOEFL (IBT): 72
YDS/YÖKDİL (Foreign Languages Exam/Higher Education FLE): 60
EMU Proficiency Exam: 70 - to be successful in a written and/or oral scientific exam, or to hold a minimum undergraduate degree CGPA of 3 out of 4,
- to be successful in a written and/or oral scientific exam, or to hold a minimum master’s degree CGPA of 3 out of 4,
- to meet the conditions specified by the Eastern Mediterranean University Institute of Graduate Studies and Research and, the Regulations for Graduate Programs, Registration and Admission
Research Interests
The Nursing Sciences Doctoral Program encompasses research areas across Fundamental Nursing, Internal Medicine Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, and Public Health Nursing.
