Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Communications and Media Studies, Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department (VACD), with the aim of arranging the meeting of one of the world’s most successful designers and students, and within the scope of the course “Learn Design from the Masters”, design teaching staff Ginette Caron was hosted as the 4th semester guest.
This semester’s subject was established as branding and packaging. In this context, the packaging that the students will produce during the course will be entered in to an international competition to be held at the Czech Republic named “Model Young Package Competition 2020”, in the category of personal care.
After Ginette Caron worked as a designer at a number of important companies, such as Benetton and Prada (branding, graphic design, packaging, directional signs, exhibition design etc.) and as an art director, she currently works in her own studio in Milan called “Ginette Caron Communication Design”. She currently works with important clients such as Barilla, Bvlgari, Fabriano Butique, Ferragamo, Knoll, Moleskine, San Carlo, Swatch and TV5.
Making an announcement on the subject, EMU Visual Arts and Visual Design Department Chair Prof. Dr. Senih Çavuşoğlu stated that within the context of the same course, they will again bring more of the world’s most succesful designers to meet with students.
Caron visited EMU Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Demirel
Caron visited EMU Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Demirel at his office, and expressed her joy at being at EMU. During the visit Prof. Dr. Demirel gave information in relation to EMU. Also present during the meeting were Chair of VACD Prof. Dr. Senih Çavuşoğlu and Assistant Chair of the same department Assist. Prof. Dr. Fırat Tüzünkan.
