Information Technologies Research And Development Center

The Information Technologies Research and Development Center was established in order to provide advanced R& D facilities, carry out research and development, and to guide and collaborate activities within the broad field of the Information Technologies and Systems. The center aims to stimulate inter-disciplinary and inter-departmental research within the university and to establish research and academic collaboration with industry in Information Technologies, both in the TRNC and with overseas, research and industrial partners through bi-lateral and international collaborative projects.

Current R & D activities and interests include: multimedia conferencing, distance learning, ISDN applications, fast network technologies, protocols and inter-working, Internet information services and servers, LAN traffic measurement and characterization, and software engineering for CIM systems.
