Teaching Geometry and Measurement (IMEG313)
Van Hiele's levels of thinking; basic geometric concepts, geometric structures, geometric objects; parity and similarity; transformation geometry, projections, patterns and ornaments, fractals; Pythagoras theorem; nature of measurement, teaching time, length, area, volume and angle measurements (using the appropriate teaching materials and strategies, etc.); student knowledge about these subjects (understanding and interpreting student's thoughts about concepts, to discover student difficulties and misconceptions); the relations of these subjects to daily life and other lessons.
