A certificate awarding ceremony for student assistants who undertook duties within the framework of the 17th Orientation and Welcoming days took place with the participation of EMU Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Hıfsiye Pulhan.
Following Prof. Dr. Hıfsiye Pulhan’s opening address, student assistants were awarded their certificates.
Within the framework of the 17th Orientation and Welcoming Days which took place between 29 September and 26 October, a total of 62 student assistants working under the Social and Cultural Activities Directorate and another group of 23 student assistants from the International Office undertook responsibilities during the welcoming and placement process of the newly registered students.
During the Orientation and Welcoming Days period, newly registered students and their families received information services and assistance for about 12 hours a day through information desks set up at Ercan Airport, Kyrenia and Famagusta sea ports as well as EMU 2 dormitories, Registrar’s Office, Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School and the Social and Cultural Activities Directorate. Working with devotion, student assistants posed a big contribution to the smooth running of the Orientation and Welcoming Days.
Within the framework of the 17th Orientation and Welcoming Days program, cinema days, campus tours, Famagusta, Kyrenia, Nicosia and Karpaz tours, a welcoming days cocktail, conferences entitled “Prosperity in A Multicultural Environment”, “Life in TRNC” and a welcoming night were successfully organised.
