Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Serdar Denktas visited the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) on Wednesday the 7th of September 2016 at 11:00. During his visit Denktas met with Board of Trustees’ members and president Recai Ergun, as well as EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam and the Vice Rectors. Denktas was accompanied on his visit by the undersecretary and member of the EMU Board of Trustees’ Anıl Kaya.
During the visit Serdar Denktaş was provided with extensive information about EMU by EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam who noted that EMU is a truly international university that highly values international accreditations. Prof. Dr. Osam went on to state that the 37 year old university has approximately 20 thousand students from 106 different countries and that an EMU diploma is recognized everywhere around the world.
Deputy Prime Minister Denktas noted that he really liked EMU and that he has been closely following the EMU’s positive developments with pride. Following the meeting at the Rector’s Office, Denktaş met with members of the Board of Trustees’ separately having an exchange of ideas.
