Eastern Mediterranean University, Arts and Sciences Faculty, Biological Sciences Department, Molecular Biology and genetics Program academic staff member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükrü Tüzmen represented EMU at a workshop titled “Molecular Methods and Engineering Applications Used in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Genetic Diseases”. The said workshop was organised in Isparta by academic staff members of Süleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Sciences, Bioengineering Program.
During the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tüzmen delivered two presentations entitled “Molecular Methods in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Genetic Diseases: Beta Thalassemia” and “Gene Silencing”. The event hosted discussions on research conducted on genetic diseases through molecular approaches and evaluation and interpretation of measurements within the framework of engineering applications.
During his participation in the said organisation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tüzmen provided information on Eastern Mediterranean University, Arts and Sciences Faculty, Biological Sciences Department, Molecular Biology and Genetics Program. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tüzmen also exchanged information with academic staff members of Süleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Sciences, Bioengineering Program on the sustainability of the joint work conducted so far.
