A protocol was signed by the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) and Guilan University from Iran. The signature ceremony took place on Friday, the 28th July 2017 at the office of EMU Vice Rector For Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Özkaramanlı.
Recently, EMU Vice Rector For International Affairs and Promotion Prof. Dr. Cem Tanova visited Iran and came together with Guilan University representatives discussing possible collaboration opportunities. Guilan University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Razı and International Office Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Bani came to EMU after Prof. Dr. Tanova’s visit to Iran and expressed their happiness regarding the information exchange between the two universities during both meetings. Guilan University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Razı also noted that they are very excited to collaborate with EMU.
The protocol between EMU and Guilan University enables collaboration between the universities regarding strengthening relationships, organizing joint education programs, courses, conferences, symposiums, workshops, joint research, sharing of educational data and exchange of experience. The universities also discussed the formation of a possible joint graduate program in engineering.
