Memos of the conference entitled “International Banking and Finance Perspectives” conducted by Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Business and Economics Faculty, Banking and Finance Department on the 21st of April, 2017 are published in the international publishing house, Springer. Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Central Bank and various prestigious institutions supported the conference which had nearly 120 applicants from 15 different countries whom are specialists in the field of banking and finance. During the statement made by the head of Conference Regulatory Board and also EMU Business and Economics Faculty, Banking and Finance Department Head, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nesrin Özataç remarked the aim of the international conference that is to gather many scholars and bankers in TRNC to contribute the academic life.
Eminent and Prestigious Publishing House
By stating that the outcomes of the conference are compiled and collected into a book, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özataç mentioned that the publishing of the book was accomplished with the agreement settled with the prestigious publishing house Springer. The book consists of following issues; recent studies on banking and finance following the global finance crisis, opportunities and risks arise in global financial markets, effective monetary policies to be applied by Central Banks during the floating finance market periods, importance of supervision, Islamic banking, micro-finance, capital market economic growth and energy economy.
