Eastern Mediterranean University Continuous Education Center (EMU-CEC) provided in-service training session for Cyprus Turkish Teachers’ Cooperation Ltd. (ÖYAK) staff members. Covering topics such as body language, politeness and professionalism, the training was delivered by EMU Communication Faculty, Public Relations and Advertising Department academic staff member Şevket Serkan Şen on Saturday, 4 June 2022 between 10:00 and 13:00 at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center. Nearly 40 ÖYAK Bank staff members attended the event. In additional to theoretical training, the session also consisted of applied aspect as well. At the end of the training, EMU-CEC Director Prof. Dr. Metin Ersoy presented certificates to the participants and the trainer Şevket Serkan Şen. Sharing their opinion during the certificate ceremony, the participants expressed their contentedness regarding the in-service training noting that the session was joyful and beneficial and that they would like to participate in future events like this one.
“In-Service Trainings to Continue at Full Speed”
Making a statement on the topic, EMU-CEC Director Prof. Dr. Metin Ersoy stated that EMU-CEC was established in 2004 to provide education services to all stakeholders of the society with a life-long education understanding and continues its activities with this mission, adding that their main aim is to provide education services for everyone from 7 to 70 years old and to carry education services out of campus. Thanking trainer Şevket Serkan Şen and ÖYAK Bank personnel, Prof. Dr. Ersoy mentioned that the in-service trainings organized by EMU-CEC for the members of the society are to continue at full speed. Prof. Dr. Ersoy emphasized that, EMU is always ready to provide in-service trainings needed by the public.
