The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has added another social responsibility project to those organized under the umbrella of the Community Involvement Centre. As part of the course delivered by EMU Communication Faculty, Public Relations and Advertising Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Kemal Kaya, students Hülya Bakca, Lara Zidan, Yetunde Oluwakami, James Seuu and Aisha Bashir Nuhu organized a charity football tournament.
A total of 8 teams participated in the tournament sponsored by EMU International Office. A donation box was also passed around the spectators and the tournament revenue was donated to the Kemal Saraçoğlu Children with Leukemia Foundation.
The top three teams were awarded medals. All the teams were thanked for participating in this meaningful organization. Individuals who participated in and contributed to the tournament expressed their happiness of being a part of the project. The students who organized the event were proud to have provided even the slightest of help to children with leukaemia.
