Established by a group of volunteers who graduated from the universities within the TRNC with the purpose of enhancing communication amongst the graduates of the TRNC universities as well as supporting the higher education sector within the country, a Facebook group entitled “Target Grand Re-union” created a context bringing together the graduates of Eastern Mediterranean University.
The group boasts around 27,000 members the majority of whom are the graduates of Eastern Mediterranean University. Members of the group share photos from their archives as well as their memories. The group also has EMU administrative and academic staff as members.
Graduates of EMU living at different corners of the earth live the excitement of the establishment of the aforesaid group and now expect a grand re-union to be organised by the group administrators. Through the Facebook page, graduates cherish their university memories and share their photos with others. It is worth mentioning that group members have used the picture of a set of crayons in different colors to reflect their respect towards diversity and, at the same time, to represent individuals from different cultures and educational backgrounds.
