The short film entitled “Kısmet” which is directed by Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Communication Faculty students Doğuş Özokutan and Vasvi Çiftcioğlu, made it to the Finals in Seattle Turkish Films Festival (STFF). The 5th STFF is to take place between the 9th and 17th of November, 2018 and “Kısmet” succeeded to get in Top 10 among more than 300 applications. Top 3 films of the festival will be announced on the 23rd of September.
The visual effects of EMU sponsored short film “Kısmet” was made in EMU by the Vice Chair of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department Fırat Tüzünkan.
“Kısmet” with Deniz Çakır, Osman Ateş and Mehmet Kumser in leading roles, is about a challenging task of a wife and a son after the husband had wished to be burnt following his death.
