Prof. Dr. Uğur Ulaş Dağlı, (Faculty of Architecture, Head of Department of Interior Architecture at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), represented EMU at the 12th Interior Architecture Heads of Department Meeting held in Antalya. The meeting has been collaboratively organised by Akdeniz University’s Faculty of Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture and Antalya Bilim University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Department of Interior Design and Environmental Design.
During the first day of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Uğur Ulaş Dağlı (Head of Local Accreditation Committee and Head of the Department of Interior Architecture at EMU) and Dr. Münevver Özersay (Accreditation Board Consultant for TMMOB) have given a presentation on the studies conducted by the Local Accreditation Board concerning Interior Architecture Education Programs.
Afterwards, a panel was held on accreditation including Prof. Dr. Dağlı as the moderator, and with the participation of Emrah Kaymak (President of the Chamber of Interior Architects, TMMOB) and other committee members. During the study, which aims to form an assessment board for education quality, the Working Principals and Legislation of the Accreditation Board was approved by the Heads of Departments.
During the second day of this 12th Interior Architecture Heads of Department Meeting, the main topic was student internships; which are largely beneficial for occupational development and student improvement.
