Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın hosted the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Statistics Institution Vice-Chair Assist. Prof. Dr. Türel Öksüzoğlu and his team on Wednesday, 9 June 2021 at 10:00. Possible collaborations were discussed during the visit.
Stating that EMU is ready to contribute to the institution in the matter of forming TRNC’s statistical infrastructure, Prof. Dr. Hocanın expressed his appreciation on Assist. Prof. Dr. Türel Öksüzoğlu’s visit. On the other hand, Assist. Prof. Dr. Türel Öksüzoğlu shared information regarding the recent Statistics Council meeting and Official Statistics Program (OSP) which was unanimously approved during voting. Prof. Dr. Hocanın presented Assist. Prof. Dr. Türel Öksüzoğlu a souvenir. EMU Business and Economics Faculty member and Statistics Council member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamil Sertoğlu was present at the meeting.
