Dear Students,
As you know, at the beginning of the Spring Semester of the 2019-2020 Academic Year, we offered a 25% discount in dormitory fees to the students who preferred to stay in EMU dormitories to give them message that we stand with them during the current difficult economic conditions.
However, many of students who resided in EMU dormitories returned to their families as a result of the pandemic process. The personal belongings of the majority of these students are still in dormitory rooms and will be kept in their own rooms until their return. On the other hand, we are all aware of the fact that these students, who preferred EMU dormitories at the beginning of the 2019-2020 Academic Year Spring Semester, paid for their dormitory fees in full or in instalments, left the island due to the pandemic and have not been using their rooms approximately for 3 months.
Taking into account the present situation, the Rector’s Office would like to support our students in this regard and decided to offer the said students (who have been unable to use their dormitory rooms for a period of three months due to the current pandemic process) free-of-charge use of the dormitory rooms during the post pandemic period, either during the summer term and/or 2020-2021 Academic Year Fall Semester.
