Eastern Mediterranean University Continuous Education Center (EMU-CEC) continues to contribute the life-long learning process of individuals by organizing certificate programs, courses and seminars on various topics with the aim of meeting the life-long learning needs of people from every walk of life. In this respect, EMU-CEC has recently organized various educational seminars: “Persuasion Techniques” for the personnel of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “Cyberbullying Awareness” seminar for high school and secondary school teachers affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, “Analyzing Financial Charts” for TRNC Court of Accounts’ personnel members, “Basics of Energy Management” for the Chamber of Cyprus Turkish Mechanical Engineers and lastly, “Corporate Culture and Sense of Belonging” seminar for the Cyprus Foundations Administration personnel members.
At the end of the trainings delivered by experts in their respective fields, participants were presented with certificates of achievement. Stating that EMU-CEC was established in 2004 and carried the distinction of being the first Continuous Education Center established in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), EMU-CEC Director Prof. Dr. Metin Ersoy said that since its establishment, the center aimed to meet the educational needs of people of all ages and to serve the community by extending educational services beyond the campus. Noting that EMU-CEC has contributed nearly 45 thousand people’s life-long learning goals, Prof. Dr. Ersoy emphasized that EMU-CEC both in public and private sector, provides training in European Union projects. Prof. Dr. Ersoy mentioned that if there is demand, the center offers counseling or examination services. Adding more, he also conveyed that the center is the only center which is a founding member of the Council of Turkish Universities Continuous Education Centers (TÜSEM) and a full member of the European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN).
