The 11th of the "Osman Maraşlı Memorial Tournament", which is the first triad beach volleyball tournament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), organized by the Sports Affairs Directorate of Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), took place at the EMU Beach Club facilities on August 26-27, 2023. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu, Vice Rector FOR Social and Cultural Affairs, Sports Affairs Director Cemal Konnolu, along with many volleyball enthusiasts and spectators. The champions of the tournament were determined through semi-final and final matches played on Sunday, August 27, 2023.
A Total of 111 Athletes Competed
In the tournament, 12 teams competed in the triad women's category, 11 teams in the triad men's category, and 14 teams in the triad mixed category. The teams that emerged as champions are: Naz - Derin - İsmihan in the triad women's category; Kemal Ş. - İsmail - Osman in the triad men's category; and Arda - Osman - İsmihan in the triad mixed category. After the final matches, an award ceremony was held where the winning teams received trophies and cash prizes, presented by Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu, Cemal Konnolu, Hakkı Duvarcı, Ahmet Özkaramanlı, and Gürkan Gazioğlu.
