Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Education, Department of Elementary Education is represented with 3 presentations in the 5th International Early Childhood Education Congress hosted by Gazi University in Ankara.
The congress, being the sole international congress in the field of education in Turkey, was hosted for the 5th time. Three instructors from EMU Faculty of Education, Department of Elementary Education made 3 oral presentations and moderated a session with the graduates and current students of Pre-school Teacher Education Postgraduate Program. At the congress during which more than 400 presentations took place, EMU Education Faculty was represented with the following presentations; “Analysing Troubled Behaviour in Pre-school Children in the light of Parent and Teacher Aspect” by Specialist Mesut Koçano Aydener and Assist. Prof. Eda Kargı, “Necessity of Sexual Education for Children Between the Ages 3-6 with Respect to the views of Parents ” by Specialist Seher İşler and Prof. Dr. Ayşe Işık Gürşimşek, “Analysis of Pre-School Teacher Candidates’ Perceptions of Multiculturalism” by Çağrı Peköz, Burhan Külcü and Prof. Dr. Ayşe Işık Gürşimşek. On the last day of “Strong Start for Every Child; Cultural Diversity and Inclusive Education in Early Childhood” themed congress, EMU Department of Elementary Education Chair Prof. Dr. Elif Yeşim Üstün was the session moderator. The 6th International Early Childhood Education Congress will be hosted by Kafkas University in 2019.
