Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Tourism continues its efforts with the aim of contributing to the career development of its students and alumni. In this respect, two events offering significant career opportunities in tourism and hospitality sector were organized by the faculty within the previous days.
The first event consisted a visit by the authorities from Aliée Istanbul Hotel, one of the most prestigious hotels of Istanbul. Authorities visited the EMU Faculty of Tourism and presented the students career opportunities available at their hotel. Senior Executives of the hotel, set to open in February 2025, consists of Culinary Director Tolgar Mireli, Food and Beverages Director Yekya Eroğlu, Front Office Director Atıl Şeran and Human Resources Director Ümit Can Abay who provided extensive information on career opportunities available at various departments within the hotel.
On the other hand, the second important event organized by the EMU Faculty of Tourism was hosting Specialist Career Consultant Francesca Tagliavini from HOSCO, one of the leading career platforms in tourism and hospitality sector. Attending the seminar event as a guest speaker, Tagliavini explained the students various key points in job application; such as, effective CV writing and interview strategies. Guiding the students on how to easily reach career opportunities within the sector, Tagliavini also shared some tips on accelerating the job search process using the features offered by the HOSCO platform.
With these two major events received great interest as part of EMU Faculty of Tourism’s efforts taken to contribute the professional journeys’ of its students and graduates. Faculty indicated that it will continue presenting various career opportunities to its students by the virtue of the strong connections it has within the sector.
