EMU 2017 Entrance and Scholarship Exam Results Announced
Eastern Mediterranean University’s (EMU) Entrance and Scholarship Exam for high school graduates who are nationals of the TRNC and the Republic of Turkey (those who have graduated from high school upon the completion of their education in an educational institution in TRNC after a period of 4 uninterrupted years of study) took place on Monday, the 5th of June 2017, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
According to the information from the Rector’s Office, 1294 students sat the 2017 Entrance and Scholarship Exam, which took place on EMU Campus in Famagusta and at Turkish Maarif College in Nicosia
Top scoring candidates in each program, excluding medicine, have been awarded 100% uninterrupted and unconditional scholarship whilst candidates with the 2nd and 3rd highest score have been granted 50% of the same scholarship. Finally, those ranking the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th in each program have been awarded 25% uninterrupted and unconditional scholarship. In addition, students who finished their high school as the top scoring student also gain the opportunity to register for any program with 50% scholarship.
The exam contained Mathematics, Science, Turkish, Literature and Social Sciences sections as well as the English Language Test and Visual Skills Test for certain departments. All candidates’ scores from all main sections of the exam, namely Mathematics – Science (MS), Turkish – Mathematics (TM) and Turkish – Social Sciences (TS) have been calculated, accordingly. Additionally, if the candidates chose to do so, their scores for English Language, Visual Skills (VS), Music (M) and Sports (SP) sections have been calculated separately.
Students who passed EMU’s Entrance and Scholarship Exam may carry out their registration procedures at EMU Registrar’s Office until September, 2017.
Releasing a statement about the 2017 EMU Entrance and Scholarship Exam, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam indicated that participation was high, going on to note: “We thank our dear students who view the Eastern Mediterranean University as their future whilst wishing the continuation of their success.”
