Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) 2018 – 2019 Academic Year Spring Semester graduates bid farewell to the city with a Torchlight Procession which took place at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, 28 June 2019. Approximately 2,600 graduates were present at the traditional Graduation Walk wearing their gowns.
EMU 2018-2019 Academic Year Spring Semester graduates, academicians, administrative staff members, students and families started the procession with torchlights at the Famagusta Development Academy and walked to EMU Atatürk Square. Singing songs during the walk, the graduating students bid farewell to the city of Famagusta and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The procession lasted approximately one hour and celebrations continued at the Atatürk Square.
