EMU-CEC Summer Courses Are Beginning

The Eastern Mediterranean University Continuing Education Center (EMU-CEC) Summer Courses are commencing in July. The “2019 Summer School for Children” is being organized with the support and contribution of non-governmental organizations. The EMU-CEC summer school programs announced from social media accounts are being supported by non-governmental organizations such as the North Cyprus Society for the Protection of Turtles, Universal Children's Right Association, Famagusta Walled City Association, Cyprus Turkish Orthopedic Disability Association, Green Action Group, Taşkent Nature Park and Fight against Drugs Commission. Collaboration will be taking place with instructors from EMU. Those attending the programs aimed towards different age groups will obtain the opportunity to increase their awareness and improve in different topics such music and developmental education. The summer program aimed towards children will create an environment where they can have fun whilst developing their creativity, observation and investigation skills.

The “2019 Summer School for Children” will be available for children aged between 7 and 12. Different themes will be added to the program on 1-5 July, 8-12 July, 15-19 July and 22-26 July as a result of collaborations with different non-governmental organizations and university instructors. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided by EMU. The summer school will include fun and educational activities for the development of children.

Registration

Registration is continuing for the first “Pre-Med Summer School” which is one of EMU-CEC’s education programs. Aimed towards high school students who want to study medicine the summer school will be taking place with the collaboration of EMU Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Medicine.  The language of the summer school taking place between the 1st and 14th of July 2019 is English

There will also be half a day summer schools on the last two weeks of July with different content. The summer school program also includes courses on Level 1 and Level 2 Greek, Computerized Accounting, Computing, Different Levels of Vocational English and Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Exam (ALES). Registration for summer school can be completed from EMU’s website (https://sem.emu.edu.tr/en). A statement from EMU-CEC indicated that courses on other topics or languages can be set-up if there is a demand.
