Academic staff of EMU Physics Department, operating under the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Arts and Sciences and having the unique quality of being the only Physics Department of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), have been putting their signatures under important academic achievements, services and activities. Releasing a statement on the subject, EMU Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Özarslan stated that the prominent academic staff of EMU Physics Department continue to contribute to both science and EMU's high quality education at the highest level, thanks to their remarkable academic achievements.
Chair of EMU Physics Department Prof. Dr. İzzet Sakallı, on the other hand, underlined that, in addition to the qualitative and high-volume scientific publications made by the academic staff of EMU Physics Department, the academicians of the department provide editorial-refereeing services for world-renowned prestigious journals and play a leading role in scientific activities. In this context, Prof. Dr. Sakallı provided information about the scientific activities in which EMU Physics Department academics have recently been involved (between 2020-2022).

Having appeared on the editorial boards of multiple prestigious journals within the last two years, Prof. Dr. Seyedhabibollah Mazharimousavi has also served as keynote speaker and review editor at conferences. Prof. Dr. Mazharimousavi was a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Mathematical Sciences (ICMS 2020) (https://www.maltepe.edu.tr/icms20/en/plenary-speakers), and keynote speaker at the Fifth International Conference on Mathematical Sciences (ICMS 2021) (https://www.maltepe.edu.tr/icms21/en/plenary-speakers). As the academic staff of EMU Physics Department with the highest number of publications, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Övgün serves as the guest editor in the Turkish Journal of Physics, published electronically 6 times a year by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) (https://publons.com/journal/16478/turkish-journal-of-physics/).
