Students will perform research on selected topics and prepare a presentatıon and a short paper. |

Research process starting from the formalization of problem, review of literature, theorizing, methodologies like qualitative, quantitative and mixed method approaches will be discussed. Computer Networking Applications The main aim of this course is to familiarize students with advanced topics on the newest wired networking technologies with a special emphasis on networking applications. It provides an in-depth introduction to a wide range of topics in the field of computer networks including the Internet. Rather than explain how protocols work in the abstract, the most important protocols are defined to discuss how networks work in practice. This allows to include real-world experiences in the discussion. Topics covered include network protocols, Internet routing, peer to peer networks, network security, congestion control, error detection & correction, and internetworking. It focuses both on the existing technologies and new trends or changes in fundamentals, to derive a set of requirements that a useful network must meet. |

Term Project Term project include identification of problem, formulation of hypothesis, search and review of literature, exposure to recent advances, data collection, critical analysis, interpretation of results and drawing conclusions. Term project report should provide a literature review of the related area and explain the nature of the problem to be investigated.
