Research Methods The focus of the course is to provide students with knowledge and an understanding of the philosophical, theoretical, methodological and ethical issues in research. In addition, the course will provide students with help to develop academic reading skills, literature review writing skills, skills in identifying research approaches and strategies, skills in research design, data collection, data analysis, interpretation and the presentation of research findings. Thus, the aim of the course is to give students an insight into the research process from design to the production of new knowledge. |

Strategic Management for Tourism and Hospitality Industry This is a challenging course that focuses on how firms formulate, implement, and evaluate strategies. This course aims to make students use all the knowledge obtained from past courses (e.g., tourism and hospitality operations, marketing management, organizational behavior, and financial management), coupled with new strategic management techniques learned, for charting the future direction of service organizations. Thus, students are expected to discuss a number of case studies and come up with suggestions for business practice. |
