Eastern Mediterranean University Dr. Fazıl Küçük Medicine Faculty is finalising the preparations for 14 March Medicine Day, White Coat and Honor-High Honor Certificate Awarding Ceremony which will take place at EMU Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, 14 March 2016.
Prior to the ceremony at 9:30 a.m., EMU Dr. Fazıl Küçük Medicine Faculty Dean, academic staff members and students will be laying a wreath at Atatürk’s monument on EMU campus. During the
ceremony which will commence with a moment of silence and the national anthem at Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center, freshman year students Tahoora Tahmasebichalloo and Dilara Engin will be delivering speeches under the theme “If You Had a Magic Wand , Which Health Problem in the World Would You Solve? Why?”.
Following student speeches, EMU Dr. Fazıl Küçük Medicine Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Nahide
Gökçora and EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam will be delivering opening addresses. After
protocol speeches, Education Faculty, Music Teaching Program will be delivering a mini concert followed by EMU Dr. Fazıl Küçük Medicine Faculty student Komail Hatemi’s presentation entitled “Project on Illness and Music”.
The ceremony will continue with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akman’s first lesson of the semester followed by plaque and certificate of appreciation awarding. After the presentation of honor and high honor certificates to students, the ceremony will continue with white coat donning to freshman year students. The event will end with a cocktail.
