A Career Development Program organised by the Eastern Mediterranean University Alumni Communication and Career Research Directorate (EMU-MİKA) commenced. organized a Career Development Program. Within the scope of the Career Development Program which will take place between 2 and 12 December 2019 at EMU Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tahiroğlu Hall, academic staff of EMU, experts and EMU graduates who are successful in their careers will be giving seminars to students to support their decisions on their career paths.
Director of EMU-MİKA Derviş Ekşici released a statement which reads as follows “The aim of the Career Development Program is to increase student satisfaction. We organise these events in order to show our students the difference of graduating from EMU before embarking on their future careers. Before their graduation, we increase our students' awareness about our university’s special applications and accreditations” Expressing his satisfaction on the students’ interest towards the program, Ekşici added that ‘following their graduation, our students will be our reference. That's why we develop these programs to ensure that we have very good references.
Career, Development and Entrepreneurship
On 2 December 2019, between 14:30 and 16:00, EMU Tourism Faculty academic staff member Turan Değirmencioğlu gave a seminer titled “Interview Techniques – Educational and Job Purposes”. On 3 December 2019, between 10:30 and 12:00, EMU graduate and Director of Creditwest Bank Human Resources Fatma Zorlu Çelebi delivered a talk on “Hints on Career and Job Interviews”. On the same day between 14:30 and16:20, EMU Business and Economics Faculty academic staff member Prof. Dr. Cem Tanova gave a seminar titled “Accreditations, Recognitions, Rankings and Memverships”. On 4 December 2019, between 14:30 and 15:20, a seminar titled “Organizational Behaviour” by EMU Business and Economics Faculty academic staff member Prof. Dr. Cem Tanova was held. On the same day between 15:30 and 16:20, the Turkish version of the seminar was offered to Turkish speaking participants. On 5 December 2019 between 10:30 and 11:20, Deniz Şenyiğit, who is responsible for EMU -MİKA Network and Mahdi Alnunu gave a seminar in English and Turkish under the title “EMU Alumni Network”. Between 14:30 and 15:20 Entrepreneurship Training Expert Dr. Beste Sakallı gave a seminar titled “Are You an Entrepreneur?” followed by EMU Human Resources Director Özlem Avcı’s seminar “Are You Ready for Your Future?” On Friday, December 6, 2019, between 14:30 and 16:00, Uğurcan Taşdelen from EMU Faculty of Communication gave a seminar titled “Communication Skills and Writing Techniques”.

Prof. Dr. Nilgün Suphi’s seminar titled ‘Business and Professional Writing’. On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, between 14:30 - 15:20 AIESEC Eastern Mediterranean President Abdullah Alperen Çerçi and AIESEC Eastern Mediterranean Affiliated Board Member Ayşenur Yılmaz will deliver a seminar in English titled ”Global Internship” followed by the same seminar in Turkish between 15:30 and 16:20. On 11 December 2019, between 14:30 and 15:20, Entrepreneurship Expert Dr. Beste Sakallı will give a seminar titled “Are We Entrepreneurial? Why Do We Need An Entrepreneur?”. EMU-MİKA Career Development Program will continue on 12 December 2019 with a “Graduate Studies at EMU” seminar to be held in Turkish between 14:30-15:20 and in English between 15:30 and 16:20 by EMU Educational Expert Kutlay M. Halkseven.
